Re: Sharknado

funny story from my nephew...

Baxter’s teacher sends me this text after lunch today: So we’re in the middle of counseling when the counselor says “don’t hit a bully back, or the violence will just continue.” Your son replies “Not if you hit him hard enough!”

and this, boys and girls, is proof some kids are still being raised right. there is alot of Casey in that one.

Sir, I am appalled by your willingness to teach your children that they can and should stand up for themselves. How dare you empower your children! You will singlehandedly bring down the system that we are trying to set up and impose on the future generations!

In all seriousness though, I want my kids to learn to try and call things out (talk it out, bring it to light) first in order to solve things, but to be able to make themselves an unappealing target to any potential bullies in those times when things get physical. It doesn't take much to get someone to back down when they think they're picking on someone weak

EDIT: growing up in rural Japan and being the only obvious foreigner (I'm blond and very scandinavian looking), I got picked on a decent amount. When talking didn't work and the teachers weren't helping much, I decided I would settle it myself. Bullying stopped pretty quickly

Re: Sharknado

Hey yall.

Today pressed 160 for 2 (inside the seated press rack...was awkward). Then did 100 DB swings with the 50 in sets of 10.

Still no word on orders. Take care.

Re: Sharknado

Are we getting smarter and wiser, or is the forum population degenerating?
