Mike's Tourist Log
Been a CF tourist for about a year now, picking and choosing my workouts, sticking to my favorites and avoiding the ones I dont. I never timed any of the ladies, for fear of what I would discover about myself. Lack of dedication, lack of accountability, lack of motivation. Time to settle down and do the work. Kept a "Hybrid" log over on performance menu, basically starting all over. Will start from after my Level 1 cert:
Tuesday 31 March 09 Worked out light off and on for the past 2 weeks. Went to the Puyallup Cert this past weekend, enjoyed it a great deal. Learned alot about mistakes that I have been making in terms of movement mechanics. It may be the knowledge I need to quit putting strain on my back. From the cert: - Fran - 6:24 - Tabata Squats - 20,20,18,17,16,15,15,13 - 20# Med Ball Cleans x 7 Burpees x 7 ARAP / Not sure what I will do from this point. I stil have to do mandatory PT M-W-F, so Im leaning towards CF mainpage WOD 4 times weekly - M-W-F-S. |

Have had the Flu, playing catch up with the Main Page WOD. PC&J 7x1 95,115,115,115,125,125,135 Went light,being careful on the back. "Mostly Nancy" 95# OHS x 15 400m Run 3 rnds - 19:12 Ran out of time, but couldnt have went much further anyways. The most consecutive OHS's was 10, wrists hurt. |

30 MU's - 6:45
No rings, bar MU's - 6" platform @ the bottom. Super pleased with this. Up until this point I have done 4 MU's w/rings and 2 MU's on a bar...ever. I had a level of explosiveness on the way up that I havent been close to in the past. Not sure what to attribute this to. It was likely due to the fact that I switched from a sugar/coffee diet to Paleo since my Level 1 cert in March. I think it was Lisa's 23/1 rule (CF Flagstaff) in the nutrition portion of the cert. Either way, Im stoked! ![]() |

135# HPC x 9 135# SJ x 6 5 rnds - 29:30 Rested too much, was able to speed up as the rounds progressed. HPC are a weakness for me, need to work on hip strength? ![]() |
