I've been going through a similar thing. I've gone from bw 280lbs and BF 40%ish down to BW 218(99kg).

I'm kind of at the same place as your first "after" picture. Hopefully one day I can get to the same place as your at now.

Nice butterfly. You def got sub 3 in you soon. You weren't close to failing on your thrusters in any of the rounds, esp. round 2 (where most people choose to pace it), so you should try to pick the bar up sooner and bust them out. I know, I know, it sucks and it feels like you can't, but thrusters use so many muscles you'll find the strength. Pull-ups become a problem as you get faster just because you get less rest between the sets, so grip and lats start to fail. Practice doing some higher rep pull-up WODs with something metabolic in between, e.g. double unders, burpees, running. Great job!

Not sure if i will do the butterfly kip anymore...I was doing them in a competition one day an felt a 'pulling' type of pain in my shoulder. Its more scary than painful so, don't do butterfly or ring HSPU anymore.

We'll see though!

Still doing CrossFit, still training. Now the proud owner of 2 affiliates! Motor City CrossFit (the original) recently moved into a 17,000 Sq feet facility and have roughly 150 members. Also recently just opened a new affiliate on the east side W/F/S www.motorcitycrossfitscs.com

CrossFit is officially the longest I've held a job and the longest I've stuck with an exercise program!

Just checkin' in! Don't really comment much anymore but I thought I'd share.

Man, stories like yours are the reason I love CrossFit. In the one year I've been doing CF, I've seen more people get tangible, noticeable results than in the decade I was working out in globo gyms.
