Just wanted to put my two cents in. I am both a Fire Captain and an avid martial artist. Since starting the CrossFit workouts I have noticed a major improvement in my strength endurance and overall performance while Firefighting and when I'm "rolling on the mats". I have been running 3 times a week and doing the "standard" weightlifting workouts that are found in the muscle mags for years. These workouts didn't better my athletic performance at the intensity level required for either work or play.
I now have a number of Firefighters performing the Crossfit workouts and they are sold on CrossFit.
I just wanted to say thanks for making workouts like these accessible to the masses.
