Re: PR Thread

265 Squat Clean PR yesterday. No issues out of the bottom, just getting under the bar.

Re: PR Thread

I got a pounds/non-Olympic bar snatch PR at 230# on Friday. Gym record at my CF gym

Doesn't count for anything, but still

Oh, actual PR of 290# front squat triple too.

Damn! And held it for a minute too. Nice work.

I did notice that you were wearing lifting shoes. I'd always heard that the raised heel is no good for DL's?

Thanks! I can Power Clean 225 from the floor (without the squat). I'm trying to improve my technique. The goal is using the Squat Cleans to help me move faster and get under the bar and use the Squat to lift heavier weight in the future.

And kudos to you Jim! After reading your post, I went ahead and went after of my Dream of doing a Heavy Grace. I used 185. Took me 22 minutes albeit with some Push Presses along with some Push Jerks. Still trying to get my technique better. Amazing how 3-4 will wind you pretty quick!

I have always worn them. Some people don't. I don't think it will hurt you any. If this guy does it, why not?

not wearing shoes gives you that extra inch or so that you don't have to pull, but with them you are in a better position foot and leg and hip wise for the pull.

I think he's faking it. He doesn't look like a real weightlifter to me.

(joking, of course. I know who Klokov is.)
