What does this mean?

A. Hang snatch.above knee snatch: 1.1 x 5-7 sets, last 2-3 sets tough (no misses)

What does that part in red mean? I've seen it in some other workouts where they say hang snatch at 1.1.1.1

Re: What does this mean?

Reference please? Some people use different terminology and it'd be easier to see the whole post to tell.

B. Snatch balance - build to a 3RM in 10 minutes or less
C. Snatch deadlift - 5,5,5; rest 2 minutes

That's the whole WOD.

I would guess that's a hang snatch from thighs + hang snatch from knees. I don't see periods in set/rep work that often, usually it's plus signs.

It's supposed to be 1 "hang snatch" and then 1 "above knee snatch." That person could make it alot easier by using a + sign instead of a period. Also, I don't know why anyone would want to find a 3 rep max snatch balance. Is that your gym's entire workout for the day?

Eh, if it's a weightlifting program, the 3RM snatch balance isn't all that uncommon. Of course, on a weightlifting program, it's also understood that 3RM would mean "daily max" and not necessarily fighting for an all-time PR.
