Monday 7th

Front Squats

Work to a heavy 2rep

Warm Up
40k 2x2 / 60k 2x2 / 80k 2x2

100k x2
110k x2
120k x2
125k x2
130k x2 (previous 1RM)


3 rounds for time
50x Air Squats
7x Thrusters (60k)
10x Hang Power Cleans (60k) - 11:34

Thrusters were slow. 1st round unbroken, then 4/3. Hang Power Cleans 6/4

Glad you had a taste of Fortitude. We've been rowing a lot on CompTrain, helped me to get my rows done in 43 seconds and have time to compose before burpees. First time I done it was much harder.

Monday 21st

Had my most important exam to date last week so stopped training to concentrate on that. I passed so on to the final section of my exams. I'm nearly a London Black Cab Taxi driver.


Rowing Warm Up
1000m / 3mins Rest / 1000m. Paced all way through at 1:48/500m.


Power Snatch from Blocks (just below the knee)

40k 3x5 (50% of 1RM Power)
50k 3x5 (62% of 1RM)
60k 3x3 (75% of 1RM)

Done in Squat Rack so had to make sure bar path was good. Helped a lot doing it in there.


15min AMRAP
10x Power Snatch (40k)
10x TTB - 7 rounds + 10 reps

A bit of a walk to and from barbell to pull up bars. Used that as my rest

Wednesday 23rd

Rowing Warm Up

6x 30secs Row / 30secs Rest

Wasn't concentrating after 1st rest so started 2nd row after 8 seconds!! ha.
Last 4 rows were 160m each.

10min barbell warm up


Clean & Jerk
1x 60% (70k) 3+1
1x 65% (75k) 3+1
4x 70% (80k) 3+1

Clean Pulls
4x3 85% (100k)

10minute Cindy - 10 rounds + 2 reps

25x TTB - Rows 3:32 / 3:41. Tried to keep same pace throughout. TTB 9/9/7, 11/8/6

5mins Rest

For Time:
21x Deadlifts 60k
21x Over Bar Burpees
15x Deadlifts 80k
15x Over Bar Burpees
9x Deadlifts 100k
9x Over Bar Burpees - 7:00

Had a slight Fran cough from the beginning. 21 + 15 Burpees slow but constant. All Deadlifts unbroken

3x10 Paused Ring Push Ups

60% - 48k rounded up to 50k - x3
65% - 52k rounded up to 55k - x3
70% - 56k rounded up to 60k - x3
75% - 60k increased to 65k so really 80% - 3x3

65k missed, rep , missed so started whole set again. No other misses

Saturday 7th / Sunday 8th

First time back in the gym after 7 weeks and it felt like 7 years.

Squatted and Power Cleaned & Jerked on Saturday.. 100k squats felt like 250kg!! Hit a few 100k power clean and jerks. Jerks were good.

Sunday
3 rounds
10x DB Bicep Curls (12.5k each arm)
10x DB Strict Press (12.5k each arm)
25x GHD sit ups.

Power Snatch TnG
30k x5
40k x5
50k x5
60k x5

3 more sets of 20 GHDs.


Joined local globo gym. Just to do a bit of fitness at weekends to break up the serious revision now. Nearly finished becoming a LDN Taxi driver.
