This was part of a show, not a competition. Hence all the "unorthodox" things. Olympic cross in passe, the dismount, etc. These things are always fun and you get to see some really bizarre cool stuff.

I agree that these shows are a lot of fun. The athletes can play around, unrestricted by trying to meet scoring standards, and showoff skill that are really entertaining.

Clearly some of the moves they are doing, like the huge flyaway dismounts, are not very hard by olympic standards, but they are great fun to watch.

Sorry, ballet jargon. Passe - Lift on leg so that the ball of your foot is touching the inside of the other knee. Can be done with the leg turned out or not.

No, but I started doing acrobatics at a dance studio, and have been around gymnastics for a looong time, so I'm familiar with ballet positions and terminology.
