So I did a search and turned up nothing...which I found odd by the way.

Anyway, what's the fastest 50 burpees any of you have seen?

Re: fastest 50 burpees

Never tested 50 but we've got a few guys who can do 30 in a minute or just under.

Re: fastest 50 burpees

My last 50 for time was 2:54. I've done it faster but don't remember the exact time.

OPT does it in 1:55 but only touches his target with one arm in all reps. I reckon it's harder with two hands. But the competition allows people to just clap with their hands in front of their forehead from what I've seen, so I don't know.

I timed myself sometimes but I do very strict burpees, despite being very UNfit I like to do a clean push-up and a full squat (from the very bottom of the ROM) after I jump back from the push-up, I think I got them in like 4 minutes with a ton of rest. The push-ups were on my fists also. I can see some of the elite doing them straight through in less than 2 minutes for sure.

Re: fastest 50 burpees

I've done 100 in 8:04 clapping overhead, but I'm not exactly great at burpees, haha.

Re: fastest 50 burpees

My motto so far in CrossFit (going on 3 weeks) is "I'd rather have herpes than do burpees".

But my upper body strength is very poor, so I am working on it.

In the end, I look forward to loving them.

Re: fastest 50 burpees

You can't really standardize these unless you touch a target overhead.

People start jumping less and less and even the clapping method they don't usually stand up straight. You gotta force people to standards by introducing a target height to make.

Re: fastest 50 burpees

I got through 70 fairly comfortably at the start of the chipper last week in 3:41.

I'm thinking OPT's is pretty solid. Fresh I'd likely be around 2 minutes for 50.

My girlfriend did 100 in 6:15 the other day!
