Tabata Squat Challenge????

Hi -
Got a question for anyone who knows anything about tabata squats, or squats in general.
I really need to work on my form, and after doing Barbara today, I really need to work on speeding up my squats, they slowed me down A LOT!!!!
So - I was thinking about starting a tabata squat challenge, where I did a full 4-minute tabata squat interval for the next 100 days. I would start slowly, really working on form to try to keep it even throughout the reps, and build up in speed as my form improves.
My husband (who is also crossfitting, but doing SS right now) thought this might not be a good idea, afraid I might burn out my legs.
Any ideas or input???
Thanks in advance!
Alena

ps - I'm still fairly new to CF (started late June this year), and still working on form on everything.

Re: Tabata Squat Challenge????

Do a search for Gant Grimes did a tabata study, here is the link. He basically chose a different tabata exercise and did it full throttle each work out. He explains it much better than I ever could. Here is the link, WFS

Thanks Michael -
Started reading, and after only a short time, learning a lot. Not sure why this didn't come up in my earlier search of the forum. I guess I didn't have the right combo of words....
So, it looks like to me, that once a week is probably a good way to do it. It would be interesting to do it every day for a week, just to see what happens, and if I even make it through. I guess I'll think about that one.
Thanks for the link.
