New Bench PR - 400lbs at 198 bw

Hit a new bench PR about 2 weeks ago:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PV7q0FpgXtA (w/f/s - kind of, turn the volume down, I accidentally let an f-bomb slip)

2xbw has been a long term goal of mine. Based on how it felt, I probably would have been good for 405.

I am now 2 weeks into my first dabbling of Smolov jr. for bench, should be finishing up at the end of next week, and hoping that will get my touch and go bench to around 415-420, which would put me comfortably at 400 paused.

Awesome job! Can you arch any harder? Shorten that stroke a little bit.

I wish. I've never had a very strong arch, but to be fair - I don't work on it that much.

Thanks fellas. Can't take credit for the posters or the music. Those came courtesy of my globo gym.

Thanks Paul, its hard to tell from the angle, but it is actually a powerlifter mechanics bench, just with a small arch. My lats and shoulders are pulled back, elbows are ~45 degrees, and touching right around the nipple line. But you are right in that I don't have a lot (some, but not a lot) of leg drive.
