Re: Atomic Sit up

The atomic situps I've heard about are ones where you lay on the floor, stretch your legs out straight, put your hands behind your head, elevate your feet 6 inches off of the floor, and do a situp while bringing your knees in. Like a lying knees to elbows.

I've heard the buttsniffing one called "the impossible situp".

Re: Atomic Sit up

So if I ever find myself working out with Eugene, I should be wary of his eagerness to do the "Atomic Angie" workout?

"Yeah Jerimiah, it's actually pretty easy until you get to the 100 atomic situps..."

Re: Atomic Sit up

I saw quite a few "cherries" subjected to that...ego is a wonderful thing sometimes!

Luckily I had heard of it before they tried to get me!

Re: Atomic Sit up

I hadn't thought about an atomic situp in 20 years. I laughed so hard reading Eugene's story I had tears running down my face.

For some reason, my 14 yo son doesn't think it's that hysterical. What's wrong with this generation!

Re: Atomic Sit up

Absolutely - a right of passage.

Luckily, it was never inflicted upon me, but this happened to just about every "new" kid on the wrestling team before he made Varsity in High School.
