Garage gym squat stand/dip/GHD

Has anyone purchased this or heard of how durable it is. It looks like a really good deal. Thanks.

Depending on durabilty that's pretty cool and a hell of a deal.

I asked the question almost three months ago...

My buddy has one and likes it. Was still hoping for more than one positive review before I shelled out the cash, though...

Re: Garage gym squat stand/dip/GHD

I have the Rogue S1, but my box uses the Garage Gym squat stands. My observations are that they're a bit narrow and I need to slide my hands in on the bar quite a bit when racking the weight. The J-cup is small, so I need to be careful/deliberate when racking the weight as opposed to just walking into it with the Rogue. With heavy sets, or after long WODS with squats, it gets old. I wouldn't mind buying one if my budget was limited.

That's with the squat stand, not the squat stand/GHD.

Re: Garage gym squat stand/dip/GHD

I ordered one on the 14th
On the 15th it showed ship with an estimated delivery day of the 20th. Sat around on the 20th it didn't show up.
Contacted them and they said there must have been an error at their warehouse and they'd have one sent out by the following Tuesday at the latest. The next Tuesday came and went without it being shipped and they said they had another error and would have it out by today. As of now my order still says processing.

Take it for what it's worth. To the credit of them, their communication has been pretty prompt.

Good lord that's quite a discount... Do they use random number generators for the "list price"?

Re: Garage gym squat stand/dip/GHD

I too am looking at the Garage gym, squat/dip/ghd, it looks like a really good deal at $329 plus $135 shipping (to where I am at)so at $464 it's slightly more than the Rogue S-1 Squat ($450) stand which has free shipping. I'm looking to outfit my garage gym, does anyone have experience with both of these peices of equiptment? From reading the boards I'm worried about the durability and service of the Garage Gym equiptment but with a GHD, dip bars and spotter arms I'm torn.

Re: Garage gym squat stand/dip/GHD

We have 4 of the garage gym GHD's and they have gone through an evolution at the manufacturer. We broke the first two in about a week, they sent replacement "beefier" parts and now those work fine. The next two had much thicker steel and weigh a TON! The only issues I had was the second two had cheap pad material and the pads deflected out almost immediately (as well as the 1/4" staples pulling out under the pads). I communicated this to the rep about 2 months ago and my replacement pads are supposed to have arrived today. They recognised all these faults and have made the product so much better over the last year. Now... I don't think you can get a better GHD for the money anywhere (period). I don't have a GGS squat rack, but I assume they use the same guage steel which is thicker than most racks (including the York FTS I have). I decided not to buy these universal pieces for our box, but I think for a home gym it is perfect.
