Fat old mans log!

Ok finally starting what I should have 2 months ago when I started crossfit, and doing a workout log. I am sure most of you will have no interest in my modest efforts, but it will be great for me to watch my own progress.
Me, well I've been " overweight" (fat) for a long long time. Was a very fit water polo boy as a kid, but that was long ago, and all I've done for 15 odd years is get fat and loose self esteem. Found crossfit thanks to some friends and after some serious fright, I went in. Love at first sweat I think. I have tried to get in shape before, but lack of skill and knowledge stopped me every time. Keep thinking home gym, but I know I NEED the encouragement, community, and the trainers sometimes believing in me more than I do.
So far I've lost about 10 or 11 cm off my gut, feel fitter and am stronger. Have defiantly already drunk the cool aid!
Yesterdays wod
3 rounds for time
30 kettle bell swings 24 kg
30 pistol squats ( scaled to 90 normal squats for me)
400 m run
30 sit ups
30 lunging walks
400 m run

I got 2 rounds and kettle bells and 42 squats in 35 mins

Thanks for reading and thanks to all at crossfit albury wodonga, you are Turing this old, fat and rather beaten down man into a lean, muscular fire breather ( still old though!)

Re: Fat old mans log!

Tonight was crossfit total
130kg back squat prev 97.5
57.5 kg strict press prev 50
150kg dead lift prev 120kg

Three personal bests in only 2 months training

To say I'm happy would be a big understatement!

Thnaks Mark, the log is more for me than anyone, but I certainly appreciate the support.

Wod Today

For time 75 power snatch (scaled to 30kg) 9.27

Todays wod

DT

5 rounds for time of

12 deadlifts at 70kg (scaled to 55kg)

9 hang power cleans 75 kg (scaled to 55)

6 push press 75kg (scaled to 55kg)

I am a little proud of myself today. My arms are still very sore from tuesday, and I thought about giving up a number of times today, but thanks to the guys there (especially Dotty and deanna), I finished, slowly, but finished.
