Starting For newcomers to the CrossFit methodology

29 Year Old Vegan

Just joined and wanted to introduce myself.

Looking to put on a little weight and just get more fit in general. 6'2 175lbs currently.

Welcome. Do your best to eat more protein. I know a lot of vegan athletes, and none of them get enough. Good luck and have fun!

Despite what most people on this site seem to think, a vegetarian or vegan diet is not a death sentence and many people get quite strong on one. Eat lots of lentils, beans, leafy greens, nuts and seeds (especially hemp seeds), and nutritional yeast.

I generally refer most of my vegetarian or vegan athletes/families towards Mike Mahler's articles on it. It's the best I've seen so far without getting ridiculous.
