Someone mentioned a BFS oly bar sale with free shipping within the last week. Anyone remember the details? I did not see a sale in the BFS site. I'll try calling them, but in the meantime if anyone remembers where this was, I'd appreciate a post.

Best,

DanO

Well, I finally did it.

After weeks of not getting stuff done on time enough to call in, to misjudging my own time zone (Arizona doesn't observe DST), I finally got time to get on the horn and phone in my order.

Spoke with Roland today...very nice guy. I am getting:

The BFS super bar, which was on sale for $99
2 each of the 10/15/25 Bumper Plates (25's were on sale, and he knocked off a couple bucks on the 15's for me), and a set of their Boa collars.

So, in about a week or so, I'll have a nice weight set that I don't have to worry about dropping.

Thanks everyone for their advice and such. I'll let you know how it goes.

Now, to go take pics of my home-made chin-up bar "rings"....

Congrats Tim,

I got my BFS bumpers in the mail (well.. a freight truck actually) about a week ago, and they were sitting in my garage not doing anything until last night when I wanted to start playing with them, so I loaded a light weight on my rusty old oly bar and cranked out some poor snatches, but it felt really good to do them with something other than a dowel which I'd been practicing with forever. Throwing the weights down after a successful snatch made me feel like an olympian.. until I caught a whiff of the cat's litter box in the garage that I need to .. refresh a bit.

Anyway, enjoy your new gear, it's nice to have the good stuff every once in a while even though with CF you don't often need anything more than the will to perform and a little time.
