Frank-thats too funny I had an old lady say basically the same thing to me one day when I was doing 50 box jumps. "you'll hurt your knees kid" Kinda like "you'll shoot your eye out kid". They haven't figured it out that the reason they can't walk is because they stopped moving a long time ago. IMO

Mark Miller your last comment hit it on the head "They haven't figured it out that the reason they can't walk is because they stopped moving a long time ago."

I do what I do because if I don't I won't be mobile, I won't have strength, and my joints will ache. I'm at the age when it's even more imperative to work out so I don't end up all old, decrepit and hatin' myself. I know this 'cause when I take time off now I lose flexibility and I lose strength.

You got it, Franklin. Even when I was a little boy my mother would point out the old, stooped people moving with walkers or shuffling alone 9" per stride, and she told me that they are like that because they didn't walk a lot and stay active when they were younger. Mom gave me many pieces of excellent advice. Pearls before swine I'm afraid but that's one of the few I bothered to remember. Teach your children!

Hence, If you push them down and they can get up, their program works! If not...

All I can think of is the commercial:
"Help I've fallen and I can't get up!"
