Not strange at all. Before switching to paleo, I used to have a huge bowl of oats with eggwhites mixed in (made oats in a saucepan, added eggwhites before oats were done, they cook nicely in and add flavor!). I topped it with sliced banana and genereous drizzle of PB. Its actually one thing i miss since ditching grains...

Re: How do you like your oats?

1 cup oats, 1 cup water, 1 cup whole milk. Add almonds, cinnamon and maple syrup. I eat with a 4 egg omlette on the side, seasoned with a little soy sauce and black pepper. MMMmm.

1.5 c whole milk
handful of crushed pecans
1/2 tsp cinnamon

On the rare occation I eat oats:

Raw oats, Almond Butter, Coconut Flakes, Dark Chocolate added coconut milk or cream for moisture.

Mix up, put in cupcake pan and bake untill cookie like.
