Partial distal biceps tendon tear/elbow sleeve

Back in November I was 5 reps short of completing my 3 and final fundamental workout. I was doing strict (hadn't learned to kip yet) and going from 90 degrees to chin over the bar, I partially ruptured my left distal biceps tendon. I opted not for surgery as I had partially ruptured the right and recovered really well. I started back up right about January 1, scaling around cleans and pullups. I've been wearing an elbow sleeve (Under Armour) for extra compression/support/piece of mind. Just curious if any has any experience with this type of injury (sans surgery) and what they've used on their arm, if anything.

Overall the arm has felt good. Typically sub bodyweight rows for pullups and have been working into cleans, typically staying around 135 for a max, focusing on form. This morning I deaded 365 x 2 so that was promising.

Any, thanks for your time.

Re: Partial distal biceps tendon tear/elbow sleeve

I would eliminate explosive work for now and just do strength for at least a few months just in case. With explosive work too much stuff can go wrong with a partial tear.

In general, as long as it feels pretty good you're probably fine though... you can always consult a doc/PT if you're worried though.
