Thumbs up Crossfit culture is life changing!

I was hit by a drunk driver last year in July. I started Crossfit in November with my trache in, yep, I have a trache. I go to Crossfit Confidence in Dacula, Ga and it is a life changer. From the accident I received a severe traumatic brain injury, a shattered face, a broken arm, and a collapsed lung. I had my last of 9 surgeries on January 7th. When I had to give Crossfit a break due to the surgeries, my trainers Amanda Greaver and Andrew Forbes still encouraged me and let me know that they were there when I needed them. It is a proactive culture and its moving forward that brings me joy. Crossfit helped me quit the prescription pain medication and sleeping pills, for TBI it helps my mind grow stronger. My goal is run a marathon this year and I am glad Crossfit's culture will help me take the first step. Below is a link to my full story and pics from my recovery in the hospital. Be Well.

All the best with your recovery. Keep at it.

Your story reminds me of one of my favorite quotes:

“Less good there lies than most believe
In ale for mortal men:
For the more he drinks the less does man
Of his mind the mastery hold.” The Poetic Edda
