so I'm at a big box gym today working out my legs.

after the requisite 5X5 squats and lunges I go into the room where they do step aerobics and set-up a step to do 22" box-jumps and side jump-overs.

there are 2 little old ladies sitting down in there, jib-jabbering away, waiting for their senior step class to begin in 20 minutes.

I commence jumping onto my platform (not quite as gracefully as Jesse Woody would do it:bowdown:) and then one of the little old ladies takes it upon herself to tell me that what I am doing is bad for my ankles, my knees and my hips. furthermore she added that when I get older the damage that I am causing my joints will prevent me from being able to move around without a wheelchair.

what would your response to her be?:g:

Uh, Doug, we'll take that as kidding, eh? Jeez. You guys should be happy that the little old ladies are at the gym and not in wheelchairs themselves, without having to put them down.

You should have said, "thanks for your concern, ma'am, but I'm crazy, and I'll be fine. I hope you all have a nice class."

Yeah, me too - I keep laughing again every time I see this thread, picturing Doug shoving his way through the old ladies at the gym!
