Re: 2014 45-49 Fittest on the Planet goal

Wed was catch up day for rowing.. still 3k in deficit.
Rowed 5800 meters in various speed, efforts and distances.

154,000 from Sept 1st. On track for a million meters rowing

Did set of 21 t2b. Shoulder rehab, glute ham raises, reverse ghd lat pulls..

Emom 15 clean and jerk- 95-230# pretty easy rep. My max is 255# so should be easy 90%.

Metcon- 12 min amrap
30 dubs
15 95# hang snatch
10 strict hspu
4 rounds even.. those hs pu strict were murder. Took 2 min for the last 10.

Did some other stuff after the workout but mostly rowing.

Long session- 3 hours

Re: 2014 45-49 Fittest on the Planet goal

Friday- went in the AM to row 4k total meters. Slow to full sprint.

Going in tonight to check in with wall balls, bar muscle ups, db alternating snatches, bar facing burpees and maybe some DL's sumo style?

Halloween party tonight starting at 7PM will be fun. Went as Captain America last year this year going as Batman.. hehe

Re: 2014 45-49 Fittest on the Planet goal

Friday PM- more rowing maybe a total of 6k for the day.

Sumo dead lifts- all 5 reps- 135,205,255,285,305,315

Tabata bar facing burpees- all 7 reps or 56 total huffing and puffing on this one.

Bar M/U practice- 4,5,5,4 or so.

Worked on heavy wall balls- 20#, 30#, 40#, 50#, 75# just got up to almost 9' then picked up the 30 and it felt like a 14# ball. Amazing how that works.

3k deficit at the end of the day.

Did some other stuff but can't remember. Hehe.

Halloween party was fun, ended up leaving the gym at midnight.

Sunday AM- Row and more row- 1.5k deficit after today.

Partner wod- 20 min amrap
Partner A rows 25 cal
Partner B does max wall balls while Partner A rows
Partner C runs 200 meters
The team ended up doing 396 reps or about 20 wall balls per min.

I did 50/40+, 40+ and almost 50 in the last set.

The rowing was hard after the run and wanted to save something for the wall balls.

Barbell cycling with snatch- all 5 reps- light weight felt great then 135x5 was hard. Then 165 was tough. Back down to 95# felt good.

More sprints with the rower.

Return the rentals for the party. Chill and watch a movie today.

Sunday was meeting, brunch and movie. Thank you for your service.. brought me back to my war in 1991. Sad but really to the point. They have to stop sending troops over to places we don't belong. Especially when they don't want our help. Then when we do this we have to take care of them when they get back. Seems as the poor have to go, fight and possibly die for the rich carrying on political schemes and agendas. Sad

Hi Vic,

sorry to see when i was in Cali that there were so many vets roaming around that have not been taken care of or helped after what they have been through. Many with the mental and heath scars of war.

When they say the USA is the best (the leaders say this in their speaches) and we from the outside that visit the USA can see they don't give a FUXK about those individuals when they get back.

Its a shame, thats all i can say... a great shame

Alex

Re: 2014 45-49 Fittest on the Planet goal

Monday was a good day for volume. Warm up the body.

Rowed over 7 k meters in various effort and distance. Finally caught up. 2 months down on the million meters or 168,000 so far.

3.5" deficit dead lifts- all times 5 reps- 135 up to 325#

Power clean was feeling good until it did not- 45-225# easy then thought this is a pr day. ... hehe not so much. 235#F then stripped down to 135 and went back up for a bit.

Hang power clean- felt good- 135-245#

2 second pause front squats- 3 reps each- 95-225 my knee was wonky.. did not want to put on the sleeves.

Metcon 75%
333 meter row
30 air squats
20 t2b
under 10 min

Tuesday went to court for the grand baby and cleared out grand babies mothers stuff from the apartment. Then got in a minor fight with the Girlfriend. So much stress.. just took a nap.

Unloaded the crap into the garage and went to workout.

Rowing- 2800+ then a metcon.

Grunt show- 100 burpees for time.
Every 2 min run 200 meters starting at 0:00- then burpees for the rest of that 2 min segment- Most of the 5 runs were in the :50 range (slow track and long way in to start burpees- 22/20/20/29/21- looks like I cant count.. so I 102 in 9:56 RX . With 5 long 200 meters sandwiched in the workout. Takes 10 seconds to jog to the start of the 200 meters. Happy with that. Our beast lady got a 9:15.. wow that is fast she is good a running and burpees.

Went to get some supplies for a project at the house, dog food for the little lady, chill, food and movies.

I weighed in today under 188 so progress on that. I would like to get back under 180 for the season.

Re: 2014 45-49 Fittest on the Planet goal

Alex, Yes the politicians sit on a perch sending young mostly poor kids to places that they don't belong. For oil, stupid deals, drugs.. etc instead of working on solutions to avoid these combats.

And the military is so screwed up (I was in to see 1st hand) that they waste so much money that they could really make a difference on the vets when they come home. They do make an effort but far less than is needed.
