Umbilical Hernia

Anyone have experience with an umbilical hernia? Just had mine surgically
repaired and was wondering what the recovery was like and what exercises
you were able to do immediately following the procedure and how long before
you were able to start lifting again.

Re: Umbilical Hernia

Hi Dave,
I had one back in 2004, I wasn't doing any real exercises or anything back then, so my first surgery is of no use to you. However, I had it AGAIN in 2012, and while I wanted to be back in the gym as soon as possible, there was so much pain for a good few weeks it was impossible. I just pulled up my workout logs from back then, and I was *mostly* back in the gym after about 4 weeks. Sit back, ride it out, listen to your body!
