Benchmarks

Can someone tell me why on main site the benchmarks dont have the womens weight?

For instance Isabel on has 135 for the weight but im pretty sure the standard is 135/95.

Re: Benchmarks

Not sure why you haven't gotten any answers.

My understanding is that the benchmark weights are the same for men and women if you are really completing the benchmark as prescribed. I know there are a lot of women out there who could crush me doing the benchmarks with the prescribed weights, such as a 135# Grace and certainly a 135# Isabel (since I can't yet do Isabelle at 135#).

At most boxes I've seen lower weights listed for women for the benchmarks, which I guess is fine. But the bottom line is everyone, male or female, should be scaling it down if they can't complete it safely or within a reasonable time at the prescribed weight.

Re: Benchmarks

Yeah I thought I would have more too. I mean if a women says her Fran time is 3:00 is it at 95 or 65?

Anyone else?

Re: Benchmarks

Female's weight on benchmarks is generally 70% that of males.

It's ridiculous to think that women and men would do the same weight on Rx WODs and HQ obviously doesn't condone that either based on the weights these benchmarks are assigned to sexes when they come up at Regionals or the Games.

Re: Benchmarks

I think nobody answered because the question has been discussed just a few days before you posted this thread

As I post, this thread is number one in "Exercises", the other thread is number seven.
