Re: Peyton's Log

The real training starts after tomorrow. I taking a pt test tomorrow so yesterday was light and today is rest. I'll be hydrating my *** off though.

The PT test is extremely simple and "easy". It could be used as a WOD probably. I'm embarrassed to admit it, but the pt test is....

1 minute of pushups
1 minute of situps
1.5 mile run

My goal is 70 or better reps in each exercise and 9 minutes or faster on the run.

Re: Peyton's Log

Absolutely pitiful performance today.

64 push-ups (1 minute)
55 sit-ups (1 Minute)
9:23 1.5 miler

I did a 5 mile training run and some sprints with the team yesterday and I just didn't feel great. I expected much more from myself. Granted my run is at a 6.15 mile pace but still, I'm capable of better.

Hey man don't sweat it! We all have an off day sometimes and you just got unlucky. There is no reason you should base your performance over something like that, I mean just look at your log, some of the stuff you crank out is mind blowing.

Re: Peyton's Log

Mentally I just wasn't in it and I just felt weak the entire time. I mind focked myself on this one I think. It's not an excuse. I just went in like a bowl of pudding I think. I definitely didn't impress anyone thats for sure. Unless I get over 65 in each event, 18+ pull-ups and a sub 9 1.5 miler, no result will be good enough.

Re: Peyton's Log

Today I took a break from a regular WOD. I've been up since 11pm last
night training the studs and I'm going on about an hour of sleep right
now. So, since I'm not off till 1pm(1 hour from now) and I had nothing
to do, I went ahead and did a "regular" work out

Bench Press:
135 (10 reps)
155 (10 reps)
155 (10 reps)
155 (10 reps)
165 (8 reps)
170 (7 reps)
175 (6 reps)
185 (5 reps)

Pull-up/Push-up Pyramid

1-->7
7-->1

Bench 65# for 50 reps non stop
Bench 45# Oly bar 50 reps non stop

Even though I focused only on chest for the most part I tried to
implement a degree of "constantly varied" methodolgy into it.

I leave Sunday for Biloxi Mississippi for 5 weeks for some training.
It's going to be pretty busy so with all the work I'll be doing plus the
CF'ing plus studying for promotion, plus possibly starting some classes
for my degree, it will be interesting to see how things go.

Also the instructors have started a game. Starting today, all interested
have 90 days to get down to 12% body fat. I am already at 10 so i've
decided to shoot for 7 but will be happy with 8. I'm pretty
dissapointed/embarrased by 10%. It's been a humbling week. One good
thing about being away from home for the next 5 weeks will be my ability
to just dissappear in what I like to call my "Fortress of Solitude".

The only books I plan on reading other than the things I have to study
will by my zone books. I've strayed away from it for the past month
since we've been settling in and just having a blast figuring the place
out and trying all the cool stuff.

Time to re-focus

Re: Peyton's Log

This place is eating my soul. I am not cut our for this regular "blue suit" sorry *** part of the air force. It's irritating. I finally knocked out a WOD in my room

I named it "Swinging Boobies"

3 rounds
20 KB swing 2 pood. (Thats right, I brought my big KB)
30 push-ups

Forgot to time it. It was just nice to do something. It's a fairly "short" WOD but it's a smoker. I felt like my upper body exploded. This is the one good thing that's happened here since Sunday
