My story is not going to be much different that those I’ve read over the last year, but here goes….

A friend of mine once told me that sex was overrated. I replied, you’re not doing it right! The same is true for CF.

Today on a whim, I entered a power lifting meet, hell, I’ve done the CF total recently, so I should be good, right?

So here’s how I did…
SQ: 350, 405, 430
BP: 365 (F) racked before the command to rack 405, 420(F) got it off my chest but could not lock it out...remember these are with a pause vs. touch and go.
DL: 475, 535, 575

I won my weight class and best overall lifter. Not bad for a guy that did not know about the meet until 12 hours before I was to lift.

So what you need to know about me. I like most others was bored with the bench press and ride the life cycle routine when I discovered CF 13 months ago. In the past 13 months, I have:

Lost 20 lbs
Increased my DL from 365 to 575
Increased my squat from 315 to 430
BP has stayed the same with only BPing on the occasional Linda or Lynn vs. the 2-3 X a week like before.
My fitness has taken off and I have not made any changes at all with my diet. Hell, it’s probably worst now than it was before.

I have a doctors appointment in 3 weeks. At that time I will update and let everyone know where my bloods and stuff are. So far so good. (no, I do not have before and after pics…how would I know this CF thing was going to work so well?)

Jason:
i've done as many of the WODs as rx'ed as possible with OHS as the warm up for the last few weeks.

i have, for 3-4 weeks at a time over the last year, worked on ME FS and BS or did 200M sprints (fast jogs for this old fat guy) with 20 rep stuff (e.g KB swings, push-ups, box jumps, etc) on the 2nd of the 3 WODs. but really that's about it no special secrets...
