Is there a level 5 crossfit fitness level?

I'm new to crossfit, and was looking at the levels of fitness. I've only seen up to level 4. Is there anything higher than that?

Thanks

If you're referring to Seattle Crossfit's levels by Dave Werner, no, I don't think there is a level five that I've seen.

But level four is beastly, and will likely take YEARS to reach.

Was thinking the same thing. You will be bad *** if you could hit all his Level 4 standards.

Just for clarification there are no official levels in CrossFit. This was the work of an individual coach for his gym. Many of us think it is a good standard.

Some gyms have levels as a way to measure progress. Each gym can create its own system. Some are harder, some are easier.

Also, the proper "testing" of the Athletic Skill Levels is to complete all skills for a given level within 30 days.

Yeah, if you can do all L4 skills within a month, you're a true bad-***!

I've never heard of these levels. Where can I take a look at them?

Thanks. There's a lot of good yard stick info there.

Wow. That's the first time I've seen those. I'm pretty sure a Level 5 evaluation would include human flight, wrestling a bear, and walking on water.

Re: Is there a level 5 crossfit fitness level?

Hey thanks for the replies. I was originally wondering because some of the performances (the squat and bench and the running times) looked like there was room for another 2 or 3 levels. This is of course coming from a competitive weight-lifter and competitive runner hah! I've never done crossfit but since I keep hearing so much about it, I was thinking about getting involved.

Also, other than the annual crossfit games, are there any other competitions with prize money?

I use a different ranking...the numbers all go to eleven.
