'Winterized' Chuck Taylors

Hi everyone!! Yep, it's been a long while but I'm still around.

Anywho, Converse has come out with some great looking, and warm, winter versions of Chucks. Are they still flat soled? The boot ones obviously look beefier, but I can't tell to much from the pics if the not-so-boot looking ones retain their great deadlifting qualities.

Thanks for the help, thoughts and opinions!
