Search engine problems
I tried searching for "ill" and the board said I used too few search terms and that the minimum word length is four. So I tried searching for "what you eat ill" and the board said that "you" is under the minimum word length as well.

Re: Search engine problems
While the search engine has a minimum word length of four as well as certain stopwords ('some', 'just, 'doing', etc.), it does offer phrase and boolean searching and that will find phrases that contain words less than the minimum word length as well as stop words if your phrase contains 'findable words'.
For example, if you enter 'things to eat' without quotes, both to and eat are less than the minimum word length, but is you enter "things to eat" in double quotes, you will get results. |

I just did a search for 'blocks of fat', which returns no results, and "blocks of fat" also returns zero results, when searching titles (I usually just search titles to get specific results). Whereas 'blocks of fat' would return 'fat blocks,' 'how many blocks of fat,' how much in a fat block,' etc, etc, I have to type in every conceivable combination manually. Other keywords I cannot search: fit fat bar eat run row jog age lap 300 (jk) GPP ATG ATP WOD CFT C&J GHD GHR GTG H2H OHS Rep Set SPP TGU DIY and a million others. Couldn't you just make the limit 2 characters? Pretty please? |

Re: Search engine problems
The search engine has been reconfigured to allow for three letter words like ATG, GTG, OHS. We will keeping an eye on how this affects system performance.

Re: Search engine problems
I've been having a similar problem searching for "5/2", i.e., 5 on 2 off training frequency. Any suggestions?

Re: Search engine problems
You're out of luck on that. Neither of the search engine options for vBulletin index numbers. You'll have the use google and add the term 'site:board.crossfit.com'
