"Grace" What is it? some one help!

Correct me if I am wrong but is a clean & Jerk...the clean portiion start low and catch low, then squat up and then jerk. Why in some videos people doing a power clean and some a regular squat clean or know as just a "clean"

Re: "Grace" What is it? some one help!

Some people may be scaling the WOD to their abilities (i.e., they can't/don't/won't do full squat cleans) or some people may be doing their own version of the WOD, which may not be the intended exercise. The baseline understanding is that any "clean" posted in a WOD is a full, from the floor, squat clean. If it's any different, it will be posted as such as it was in last weeks WOD, "nasty girls".

The jerk is personal preference. Push jerk it or split it if you like. Do what you like, however, if it's a weakness, I'd work on it from that angle. Or, mix it up, a few PJ and a few SJ, additionally alternating which foot is forward.

Good luck - now get some!

Aiiiiiiii!

Grace is muscle-cleans, power cleans, squat cleans, push jerks, split jerks, squat jerks, presses, whatever you want. Ground to overhead in two motions anyhow.

They don't tell you this because they hate you.

Laugh now! In six months, you'll be the guy answering this.

Actually, I think HQ might hate ME. Did I ever call Lynne "Lynn"? Now I'm doubting myself.

This has been discussed many times before. Like Brandon said, the consensus is floor to overhead, clean & jerk, however you want. Most people will choose the most efficient ways of doing this because it is for time. You can do it however you want. Do a forum search on Grace. CF would not post videos of people doing a WOD wrong unless they specifically wanted to point out how to not do a WOD.
