Best Crossfit Box in DC Metro Area for 200$ or under a month

Hey looking to join a crossfit box. Wondering what is the best box to join. Suggestions I've heard so far are Outlaw, Praxis, and Primal. More are welcome, and different pros and cons of each. Thanks for any info, and looking forward to being a crossfitter.

I have visited Outlaw while in DC, and I can't say enough good things about the place. Rudy is a great guy and the people there were really friendly. The WOD I was at wasn't led by Rudy but he was there working on programming for Outlaw Way, and I get emails from them from time to time. I wouldn't hesitate going back and if I moved to the area it would be my first choice. I know it's a limited opinion but I hope it helps.

As a member of and trainer at Outlaw, I confess that I am a bit biased.
However, I can say that the greater DC Metro Area is blessed with a wealth of good boxes.
You pretty much cannot go wrong around here.
If you do stop in to Outlaw, be sure to say hi.

Last time I was in DC I stopped by District Crossfit (districtcrossfit.com WFS).

Very nice lady coach, good advice, and a WOD that I have never done. It was worth my time and effort.

I am a member of and huge fan of Crossfit Rubicon in Tysons Corner.

I joined in November and since then have lost 40lbs and been totally transformed (being converted to Paleo helped a great deal as well).

David "Chef" Wallach, the owner, has built a fantastic facility and his training is top notch. He is a passionate, conscientious trainer who emphasizes safety and mechanics over load/numbers.

I think his prices are quite reasonable (for this area), especially since he offers discounts for paying in advance.

He's got all the info you need, including prices on his site:

Disclosure: my husband is a coach at Rubicon, but I would love Rubicon even if I wasn't related to a coach. For me, it's all about the impact it's had on my life.

Here's my Crossfit/Paleo testimonial if you need further evidence:

Best,

Kendra

<biased opinion>Crossfit Fairfax is definitely the best Crossfit Box in the DC area</biased opinion>

Jeff Tincher and Maggie Dabe own the place, and I can't say enough good things about both of them. They are just wonderful people, and Jeff's programming is awesome. The box is also packed full of friendly people every day.

Great boxes all around, try them all? Why not? Every box has it's own atmosphere and it's own methodology, focus and facility. Find one that suits YOU best by trying as many as you can. I know we offer free walk-in's for a look see, many good boxes in the area do as well. Definitely take advantage of that.

Be aware that this area has the worst, yes, really, WORST traffic in the whole country, so a box that is less than five miles from you might take over an hour to get to in rush hour. Not the most important aspect of choosing a box, but certainly a practical one.

CrossFit Manassas is a great box! I'm a bit biased as I work here. I agree with the above, why not try more than one on for size. I've met Maggie and Jeff and they're great and I've heard nothing but great things about Rudy.

Since all boxes are different, I'd try a few. If you're out this way let me know
