Yes! Absolutely. I've said this several times in the past. Batman would ABSOLUTELY be on steroids. There is no appreciable downside for someone like him who works outside the law and depends on his strength and fitness for his very life.

As for training, here's the regime I'd pick the following 4 days per week:

First session after waking up: Start with light skill work (throwing baterangs and practicing with gadgets) then parkour and gymnastics practice for 1/2 to 1 hour. Follow that with armed or unarmed martial arts training (lots of Krav Maga, but mix in other types and various kinds of sparring). End with some high intensity conditioning; mma, strongman, or CF style, or some more skill work (to get practice using gadgets while tired).

After 4-6 hours the second session would be an Ultimate Advantage or Westside lifting session with focus on both brute strength and explosiveness.

A 5th day could be added to work on weaknesses, or some easy recovery work. Maybe a long run.

Thoughts?

For what it's worth, here's the official training of Batman himself, as published by DC in The Batman Files... http://www.mensfitness.com/sites/men...g_schedule.jpg (WFS)

It's amazing that this is my actual training program! Weird!

How would you periodize his training? I mean, it's not like there's an off-season to work on weaknesses. I would liken it to a deployed Soldier, if you have to be ready every single day to fight for your life, you can't be overly sore or tired. Just sayin...

Did I mention how awesome this thread is?

Re: If you had to train Batman, what would you have him do?

Hmm yeah he definitely needs a new coach. Doing the same metcon 2x in one week? And he has an odd strength program (particularly because I didn't see any presses). I'm not sure if running 20 miles would do him much good either, I know that he needs to have some solid endurance but I think there would be better ways (possibly do something similar to what they do at Gym Jones).

Also, I would think muscle-ups would be pretty easy for him - why is he spending so much time on them?

He's not only Batman, he's also Bruce Wayne, and can therefore afford to eat anything, any time.

My biggest query is how he fits any actual Batman time around this, along with his billionaire playboy lifestyle.

Re: If you had to train Batman, what would you have him do?

What would you guys think Batman would need? I would think he would number one have to be agile and move like a gymnast to get around Gotham as well as be an excellent fighter. I would also say he has to be strong as bull. I would guess a solid mix of gymnastics and powerlifting as far strength and conditioning goes. He'd obviously get most of his conditioning from fighting or mma training.

Perhaps he has the goofy clock thing from Harry Potter?
