Re: 2018 CrossFit Open, Regionals and Games Thread

I have always said that Castro's clues mean nothing and we should just ignore them.

He has stated that every year will have a repeat. Based on his clue, I think that we will be seeing 2 repeats somehow mixed into one. This could also serve as more of a separator than many workouts we have seen in the past.

I think they do mean something but they are so obscure that you can't figure them out.

For 18.5 Castro will release 3 WODs at 5:00 CST. The community will have 2 hours to vote on which WOD they want to do.

Re: 2018 CrossFit Open, Regionals and Games Thread

Castro to announce 3 options tomorrow 3PM. The one that gets the most votes is 18.5. Hope they pick the best one for me. I hope that they gave it more thought than the hspu standard.

Was just watching the announcement replay. Sigmundsdottir's "full" extension at the top of the thrusters?

Re: 2018 CrossFit Open, Regionals and Games Thread

I hate thrusters but did vote for 11.6. Overhead squats are just such a struggle for me due to shoulder mobility and I never know how they will feel from day to day. I just couldn't vote for 14.2.

Re: 2018 CrossFit Open, Regionals and Games Thread

Why does the menís side always seem to be completely dominated by one person that no one else can even come close to but the womenís side seems to be a tight race between a few people that almost anyoneís game up to the last workout. There has been some years that have been a tighter race on the menís side as well, but mostly it seems thereís one guy wiping the floor with everyone else.

Re: 2018 CrossFit Open, Regionals and Games Thread

So who is going to win the games this year???

If things are going to be as hard as Castro says the first day will this beat them down so much they breakdown and fall back or will the athletes just pace it off knowing they have 3 days left?
