Pulled Pork-it's whats for Breakfast/Lunch and Dinner
Got to love a Slow Cooker.
Have a few CF'rs stopping by today for a WOD and some good food. Decided to try this Pulled Pork recipe. Toss one GrassFed Pork Loin in to slow cooker, come back in 10-12 hours. Remove from cooker, shred + add homemade BBQ sauce, come back in 2-3 hours. Do WOD Eat. |

And tomatoes are yummy, for me at least. Of course there are very few foods I don't eat. ![]() |

I agree Jay, I make this every now and then. I should make it again very soon, thanks for the reminder. It's been a while!

Many people in North Carolina eat pulled with a vinegar based BBQ sauce. Recipes are all over the internet. Very different to most as they are used to the ketchup based sauces. Most really like the vinegar sauces though, once they try them. Cider vinegar.

Re: Pulled Pork-it's whats for Breakfast/Lunch and Dinner
Pulled Pork has just raised up to one of my fav foods, next to lamb/pork/blue cheese burgers.
So friggin easy and I have enough left for a few meals, more if the chow hound CF'rs didn't down it like there was no tomorrow. The BBQ sauce was my first attempt and it was a tomato based sauce, but the cup of Jack Daniels added that special little touch. I have seen the Vinegar based recipes along with the mustard based, so, I guess next week, new sauce, new pig. Just something comforting knowing I have an 1/8 steer, 1/2 goat, full lamb and some pork in the freezer. |

What are you putting in the slow cooker with the pork in the beginning? Or just drop it in? And any recipes for good reasonably healthy bbq sauce? Making my own would be fun
