Which Book?

I'm ready to start the Zone. Do I start with "The Zone" , or "Mastering the Zone"?

FAQ says "Mastering the Zone".

Should I read both or will MTZ give me all the info I need?

What's the difference between the two books?

Re: Which Book?

MTZ is the quick and dirty way to get on the Zone, The Zone is a great read, very interesting and may provide more motivation to stay with it!

Re: Which Book?

Crossfit journal issue 21 is my recommendation. The Zone books are thorough with all of the information, most of which is not really necessary. CFJ21 boils it down to 10 pages or so.

Re: Which Book?

I'll second Ben's recommendation. It's quick, well-organized and makes for a handy portable reference. Disclaimer: I've not read Sears' books but I've skimmed them at the bookstore and the library a time or two. It may be that as I get deeper into it, I'll want to go deeper into the science. For now, it's 3-2-1 Eat!

Re: Which Book?

If you are planning on using fish oil in your diet, then I would recommend The Omega Rx Zone + CFJ #21.

Re: Which Book?

I do use a fish oil supplement daily. It does wonders for back pain. Thanks for the input all
