Looking for experience

I recently attended a level 1 cert. I do not have a trainer background and I am looking for ways to gain experience. I was thinking of approaching some of the affiliates in Chicago about an "internship program".

Does anyone have any experience in this area. Is this something that interest affiliate owners?

Thanks,

Tony

Re: Looking for experience

I would LOVE free interns for my box so i'm sure other affiliates will be open to it. have you contacted them?

Interns are usually college students that are non-certified. They are getting class credit in leu of pay.

Why don't you start by training family/friends in the "NorCal OnRamp" curriculum? After that 12 session course is over you may get referrals to continue and also have to start small group classes.

Work out at an affiliate and maybe get some part time assisting work.
It's up to you, but why go "free" when you have a cert?
