Hi,

Just to confirm:

Tabata push ups: 20secs work 10 secs of repeat for 4 min?

Rest 4min?

Tabata squats: as above.

Is this right?
Thanks Matt Cullen

Matt,

Almost got it right.
10 secs of work, 10 secs rest, for 8 intervals and rest as needed.

The Tabata protocal is nasty, especially on the squats.

Ok now am confused. looking at archives for "tabata" it descibes it as 20 secs work followed by 10secs rest repeated 8 times (4min)

Any ideas which is right?

Thanks Matt Cullen

It's 20 sec. work, 10 sec. rest for 8 sets.

I don't understand the scoring on the WOD. It says total the effort from all 3...I'm assuming that means to add up all 8 intervals for each exercise and then add those 3 totals together. Someone please advise.

Thanks

Scott,

The score posted for each of the 3 rounds (Round 1: Tabata Squats; Round 2: Tabata Push-Ups; Round 3: Tabata Squats) is the lowest number of reps that you were able to get in each round.

For example, if I got 20, 19, 18, 15, 15, 14, 15, 15 for my 8 rounds of Tabata squats, I'd post a score of 14 for that round.

Hoe this helps,

Mike

Scott,

I have a correction to my previous post. I wrote "For example, if I got 20, 19, 18, 15, 15, 14, 15, 15 for my 8 rounds of Tabata squats, I'd post a score of 14 for that round."

I meant to say, "For example, if I got 20, 19, 18, 15, 15, 14, 15, 15 for my 8 sets of Tabata squats, I'd post a score of 14 for that round."

I don't want to confuse rounds and sets.

Mike

Hey, No Worries. I did the WOD twice, but I enjoyed it. Guessing I'll regret it in the morning.

Thanks anyway
Matt.
