push-up rings?

I just got an email solicitation from the company that sold me a dip station.

This is a link to a product they are now selling: "push-up rings." (SFW)

http://ultimatebodypress.com/pushup-rings.html

I'm just wondering if people think this is worthwhile. Note, I do not have any kinds of rings at home at the moment.

Re: push-up rings?

Nope, IMO. Get real rings instead. The $35 sale price is half the price of many of the rings you could buy, and you'd outgrow this product pretty quickly.

Some good threads on making your own rings too, which will be much more functional, and lots cheaper.

Re: push-up rings?

I wouldn't but them...for a little more (50ish) you can get a set of real rings, which could be used on that dip station as well as anywhere else you can hang them...more bang for the buck and progression opportunities as well as more you can do with a set of rings.

Re: push-up rings?

Ring pushups are AWESOME...

but get real rings, those things are a glorified towstrap wrapped in foam.

Instead of that dip station you should have just bought real rings in the first place
