Main site link to comments broken - workaround

I don't know what is going on with the main site since I'm not involved on the MT side, but it appears that the link to comments is not working. The comments pages are still there, and here's a workaround to get to them:
  1. Hover of the comments link and you should see it links to "http://www.crossfit.com/mt/comments?entry_id=XXXX". Take note of the number denoted as XXXX
  2. Enter the following URL in your browser address bar: "http://www.crossfit.com/mt-archive2/00XXXX.html", where XXXX is the same digits noted above.
  3. The XXXX in the URL you enter needs to have zeros padded to the left if it is less than 4 digits. For example:
http://www.crossfit.com/mt/comments?entry_id=149 should be changed to

http://www.crossfit.com/mt-archive2/000149.html

Voila - the comments page.

EDIT: It appears that the post time link to the left of "Comments (XXX)" does link to the working "mt-archive2" page. This is simpler than the method above.

Re: Main site link to comments broken - workaround

The main site template has been fixed to that the comments link is working. This is no longer an issue.

Re: Main site link to comments broken - workaround

Hmm, Ron - I know Tim Appnel is doing some stuff with MT, is this why the comments to archived months are no longer available? I was trying to look up some workout posts from January 08 (last month) and I'm out of luck. None of the comments pages in January's archive are available.

Bollocks! Yes, the comments link still broken on the monthly archive pages. If you click on the post time to the left of that, it works.

Re: Main site link to comments broken - workaround

MT upgrades "broke" the comments template; it's been fixed for a couple of days now (since I fixed it at midnight Fri or Sat....it's a blur).

I'll take a look at the monthly archive template too. But PLEASE, if there are issues with the main site, send an email. It's a lot faster.

Thanks,

Oh yeah, meantime, just click on the time posted. It works fine, just like on the main page.
