Age comparison formula

hey guys, a group of my friends are having a little competition. we have a big age difference in the group. Powerlifting had/has a formula that compared the masters with the open lifters. it wasnt the swartz or malone formula. does anyone know the name of it? also does track have any like this...thanks guys

edit: looking for 100m - 1mile and maybe a 5K, if that matters

Re: Age comparison formula

Weightlifting has the Sinclair formula to compare athletes of different weight classes, and the Malone-Meltzer age correction coefficient to compare athletes of different ages.

You can find links to both the Sinclair and Malone-Meltzer here:

Re: Age comparison formula

Here is another excellent resource if you would like to consider adding rowing events instead of the traditional track events. This might be worth considering if you have the equipment since it's lower impact than running:

We use it all the time and it is really good. Everyone against everyone and nobody knows the result until all the times are in
