If I was Dave Castro . . .

The first workout of the Games would be "Beyond Infinity".

2K swim in the pool
190 Pistols alternating each leg
180 Push ups
170 Pull ups
1.6K run
150 GHD Sit ups touching the ground at the bottom and toes at the top
140 T2B
130 OHS @ 135
120 meters Handstand walk
110 DUs
100 Bar Muscle Ups
90 Thrusters @ 95
80 KBS @ 50
70 Deficit Handstand Pushups
60 Box Jumps 30 inches
50 Ring Dips
40 Calorie Row
30 Snatches @ 135
20 Power Cleans @ 135
10 Deadlifts @ 375

As the name implies, there is no time limit so you cannot be saved by the clock. Anyone that DNF does not move on.

Re: If I was Dave Castro . . .

I think every athlete would be destroyed after that, and have bloodied taco meat in both hands. Part of the programming has to allow athletes to endure 3-5 days of action, hence the first big WODs have been long endurance type stuff that won't destroy their bodies

There are a variety of grips that would prevent the taco meat hands.

Why not just make them battle to the death with Clubbells?

If you're actually serious, then that's the dumbest programming ever.

this and thank god you are not Dave Castro. 130 OHS @135lbs? 100 Bar muscle ups?

that's a pretty good workout if your goal is to cause as many injuries as possible and ensure that nobody will ever look at CF in a positive light again...

I kind of thought the yikes smilie would give away my sarcasm. I came up with the WOD when I was thinking about how every year the games get crazier and crazier every year and what it would take to actually make Froning DNF. Although, it would be interesting if Froning could do the workout in a day. I bet one day some genetic freak would be able to do the workout in 4 or 5 hours. Call it the Crossfit Marathon.

Thank goodness that you weren't serious.

I would never have made it beyond the power cleans.

Probably the best comment I've read on any of the Games related threads

Just those two movements together with those numbers guarantee that some athletes, even the elite, would get rhabdo. The entire WOD as described... No one would be continuing onto the second event, not even Froning. That is unless there was about a week between events.
