i have a question about subscribing to the cross fit journal. like i have mentioned in other posts, i am new to cross fit and am looking to change my diet as well after experimenting with different eating habits for the last 2-3 months. anyway, my question is this:

what is the advantage to subscribing to the crossfit journal as opposed to just following the workout of the day on the site?

thanks!

Here is my take on this: The journal costs next to nothing yet EVERY issue has information which is gold...literally. You could do great just doing the WOD but the journal will allow you to take this already incredible thing to another level. If you want to ponder some of the "why" behind this stuff the journal will facilitate this.

The CrossFit journal is excellent from what I have seen. In a few days, a free issue will be available at my online magazine. Trust me, you will be blown away. The free issue covers the CrossFit definition of fitness. It is extremely densely packed with information and is guaranteed to change the way you think about fitness.
I will be subscribing to the CF Journal sometime very soon!
In addition to my free magazine, Dan John writes a great one that is also free: http://www.danjohn.org/coach
I've also enjoyed reading some articles over at Dolfzine: www.dolfzine.com
Milo is a great magazine as well, available through www.ironmind.com. More expensive, but has a great reputation. I'm considering subscribing to it.
With all these tremendous resources available, it amazes me that people still buy the muscle rags on the newsstands.
