Re: Crossfit and Having a Cold. Sweat it out?

Well, a little update.. I am JUST NOW over that stupid cold!! It is definitely something that's going around, people before and after me have had it and I see all the same symptoms.

The only thing that helped (rather, the only thing that didn't hurt) was rest and taking stuff like Mucinex and Zyrtec D and nighttime cough stuff, etc. Afrin was a godsend the last few days, as well.

Last week was my first full week back at the gym and it felt so good!! I'm still trying to go easy though, but its nice to be getting back into my old routine.

Re: Crossfit and Having a Cold. Sweat it out?

I'm late to the discussion but when I used to have a waterbed, I would crank it up as hot as possible and just slip underneath and basically sweat it out besides hydrating and taking contrast showers.

It damned near made me delerious. Whether that was the fever I was running or the extra heat it was hard to say.

OTOH, I got over colds and what not quite quickly with this protocol but haven't had a waterbed in like 7 years really.
