Hey Folks--

Not sure what subject to put this under but I put it under "Injury and Medical".

I have looked on some websites of what my ideal body weight is suppose to be. Telling me about 207 lbs.

I am 34 years young 6'4" 235 lbs. If I got down to 207, I feel as if I would look sickly skinny and would not have the muscle mass I would want and need. I do want to lose about 10 more lbs of fat but down to 207ish sounds crazy

Any thoughts? Comments?

What's your body fat? Get a healthy body fat under at Least 15%...most people on here strive for 10-7% (men's numbers). If you lose fat, you will get smaller...fat takes up way more room than muscle. As for looking skinny at 207? I dont think that is possible...just only appears that way in your own mind.

Generally internet sites and so forth that calculate your "ideal" bodyweight are going to be low. They are based on folks who don't carry much muscle mass. Athletes (excluding distance) are always going to be high on the BMI scale due to muscle mass.

Thanks Guys. I am guessing I am around 14-15 percent body fat. Still gotta get down to about 10 percent or lower.

Good point Roger.

Thanks

Interesting article on T-nation

Remember..if you lose body fat..you will "look" bigger because of the increased definition.
