Helen.. was not ready for the sprint.. legs, butt everything so sore just took the fight out of it.

400 meter run
21 kb swings 53#
12 pull ups

9:27

I think that I could cut 1 min off by being motivated and not so sore. First run went to the wrong spot and had to go back past the mark.. was down hill from that point.

Thursday workout-
2 Rounds
25 Walking Lunges
20 Pull Ups
25 Box Jumps 20″
30 Double Unders
5 Muscle Ups (W-3)
20 Knees to Elbows
30 KB Swings 70#/53#
20 Hang Squat Cleans 115#/73#
25 Hip Extensions
3 Rope Climbs
Post time. 40 min.. legs sore and mind did not want this one.

Yesterday was max OS, FS and BS.. legs did not want this workout either.
185, 265, 305.. all 20 lbs light of max but will take it.

Tomorrow I am going to do a AMRAP for the competition coming up June 23 (two weeks).
60 KB snatch 53#
30 pull ups
15 Dead lifts 185#
Wheel Barrow 120 yards
15 squat snatch 95#
30 T2B
60 DU's..

Sunday was some practice for the event coming up in less than 2 weeks.

30 KB 70# snatch
100 # squat snatch for 20 reps
30 strict pull ups
20 KB 70# snatch
100 # squat snatch 10 reps
20 strict pull ups

Was Ok.. hard fire breathing workout.

Today was 19 min AMRAP..

60 KB snatch 53#
30 pull ups
15 Dead lifts 185#
Wheel Barrow 120 yards
15 squat snatch 95#
30 T2B
60 DU's..

2nd round got thru the KB swings and 7 dead liest

Did not have wheel barrow but substituted 53# kettle bells in each hand for 90 seconds of walking around.

Got thru the first round in 14 min.. struggled on the DU's.. Need to string the Squat snatches in 5's.

Positives- KB snatches went in 3 min.
Did 15,8,7 on pull-ups
5 sets of 3 on the Squat snatch
T2B.. 10, 5,5,5,5 need to do 15, 5,5,5

Will do the workout next Sunday of so.

Took a day off on Tuesday and did the following yesterday.
Level II
AMRAP in 7 Minutes
5 Power Snatch 115#/73#
10 Ball Slams 20#/15#
25 Double Unders
+
AMRAP in 7 Minutes
1 Rope Climb
10 Sit Ups
10 Deadlift 135#/95#
+
Max Calories on Airdyne in 5 Minutes
Post rep total per AMRAP and calories.
Vic 162Rx 25#/126Rx/118

Having troubles with DU's for sure. The power snatch and ball slams were un broken.. but wasted way too much time on the jump ropes.

Did not attack the second AMRAP enough but did a solid effort of 6 rounds in 7 min.

The Airdyne was treated like intervals. 20 cal sprint and med the rest of the min.. 5 reps. Happy with the amount of calories.

Squat clean X 2..

Worked up to 215 but failed on the 2nd rep
Did 210 #

Then did the NLI #2 workout

3 rounds of the following:
135# 5 reps Powerclean
Burpee broad jump 84"

Time: 3:14

Friday was rest day

Friday went for a walk with the kids, Saturday was walk and Sunday was off.

Monday's workout-
Level 2X
5 Rounds
10 Deadlifts 275#/185#
1 Legless Rope Climb 15′
10 HSPU’s
Post time.
12:42.. broke each dead lift into sets of 5, rope climb was a bit worried about 5 assents but made it up with little rest.. did 4 sets of 10 on HSPU's then last set 6 and 4. Was happy with the effort. Next time might shave off a min or two.

Friday was a day off.

Saturday was the Next Level Invitational. My first Cross Fit competition.

Did not get any sleep well 2 hours the night before.

I was in the 40 plus division.

First workout was the wall balls and HSPU's. I got 5 no reps on the wall balls and 3 no reps on the HSPU's.. added time to my effort. Ended up placing in 1st for the workout. I did not know that.. I thought that I did poorly because my gym time earlier was 3:54 and this was 4:36..

Workout #2 was the 19 min AMRAP. the grip intensive workout was hard on my bloody hands. Ended up 1st in that one.

Workout #3 was hard on the hands also. Got 4th place. Was overall in 1st place.
First cross fit comp.. happy with the effort

Front squat- all for 3 reps- 135, 165, 185, 215, 235, 250, 255#

DU's 100 or more for practice.

Hands are a mess..
