Could you give an example or two of the extra workouts that you do for each quarter? Specifically the gymnastics, but others also if you don't mind.

Check out Dan John's "Workout Randomizer"
You should be able to find it on a search of T-nation. Its great and fits in nicely with Crossfit. It will make you stronger! If you cant find it, let me know.

Thanks everybody.

I think I know what I'm gonna do in addition to the WOD. I'm thinking I'll do a combination of Coach Rutman's "ME CF" and Dan John's "One Lift a Day," with Pavel's philosphy from PTP. I'll just pick a big lift and do it...heavy weight, 1-5 reps, lots of sets. Squat, deadlift, clean, press, that sort of thing. Simple and basic...

And I've started doing the CF Warm Up first thing after I wake up most mornings. I've got to bring my pullups and basic gymnastics movements up to par, and daily practice is the only way to do that.

So, thanks for the ideas guys.

I've been doing the same thing with the CF warm-up, Matt. I hit that first thing in the morning, with some handstand or planche/lever work afterwards. Then the afternoon is the WOD. It's been working well for me.
