153 racked on knee, tried to stand up but couldn't get my back foot all the way under and lost the bar on the way up
153 racked on knee, again couldn't get my back foot underneath me and lost it
153F, didn't rack this time and hit my knee AGAIN - got very lightheaded
123 hang squat clean, feet where they belonged

then EMOM 3-2-1-2-3 squat cleans at 123lbs - these felt really good

153 (70kg) would have been a 10lb/5kg PR. this was the first time i've ever racked over bodyweight and i don't know why i keep split cleaning - bar path was good and i racked it solidly twice

metcon
3 rounds of 40 walking lunge steps with 25lb plate overhead, 10 HSPU, 20 DUs

first round of HSPU got 8 unbroken, which is a big deal for me...and then added an abmat in my second round because i started failing after 4 reps and we were already running over
11:20

also, i was super focused on doing my DUs unbroken and when i finished my last set i yelled "TWENTY" instead of "TIME"...i am special

back for oly tonight - will probably work from the blocks and stay really light. i have GOT to fix my feet.

finally snatching by the end, didn't split snatch anything.

then 3-position squat clean (high hang, hang, floor)

these felt heavy out of the rack, but not that slow or heavy to actually squat, so that's good.

box jump, set of 2, up to 34.5"

then about 20 minutes total of 45 seconds on, 15 seconds off, of each of the following "for quality"

30" box jump
20lb medball slams
broad jumps, unmeasured
throwing a 10lb medball at meghan and blocking her throws

this got boring quick, but my neurons are pretty well recharged.

open WOD 13.1

17m AMRAP

40 burpees, 2 hand touch 6" above reach
30 snatches (45lbs)
30 burpees
30 snatches 75lbs
20 burpees
30 snatches 100lbs
10 burpees
max snatches 120lbs

151 reps total - which was my goal, BUT. i am going to redo this one and aim for at least 155.

splits:
40 burpees at 2:15
30 snatches @ 45 - at 4:13
30 burpees at 6:48
30 snatches 75lbs - at 11:56
20 burpees at 13:41

so. that means i had over 3 minutes with the 100lb bar. i pressed out my first snatch at 100, but it was a good rep in the world of crossfit. then the next two i pressed out off of my head, which, as it turns out, are no reps, even in crossfit. can't touch your head? aw man. missed my last 2 reps completely, just didn't even drop under.

with 100lb snatches i think even 3 or 4 more reps will make a big difference. so i'm going to suck it up, do oly tomorrow night, rest saturday and redo this on sunday.

woke up feeling good, decided to go to the 6am

5 rounds total of 30s on, 30s off each movement
row for calories
handstand hold

55cal total - splits 8 (feet not strapped in)/19/31/43/55

back for oly tonight to do all the drills ever and learn to snatch

snatch drills 4eva

few triples from the blocks at 29 and 35kg

then 2-3 pulls and a snatch from the blocks - many reps at 35

once that started feeling consistent i moved to the floor

high hang - hang - snatch
3 or 4 reps at 35kg
then 40 - high hang and hang were OK but failed from the floor by splitting/catching on my knee
good set at 35 to finish

then back squat, fast triples

wanted to front squat but my left wrist is really sore - couldn't even hold the bar in the front rack. womp.

resting today and repeating 13.1 tomorrow. goal is to get at least 155. with 3.5 minutes with the 100lb bar i should be able to manage 5 reps.

made a gametime decision not to repeat 13.1 - given the rest of the gym's scores and the people redoing it this morning i knew i wasn't going to get one of the top 3

snatched up to 45kg - missed 47 five times, four times caught it on my knee and once just a miss

173 failed getting overhead and called it

163 is about 74kg, well over BW and is 15lbs more than i've ever put overhead. about freakin' time i've got some numbers i'm not ashamed of

thanks rach - i figured out that the behind-the-neck-snatch-grip-split-jerk is by far a more efficient way to get the bar up.

this tired me out a lot more than i expected it to

200m run - then KB swings (1.5p), with a 200m run every time you put the bell down
63 swings total, 5 laps running
25-40-55-63 (had under a minute left here and put the bell down without thinking - dumb. tried to sprint back to get a couple more reps in but no dice)

I need to learn that behind the neck split jerk thing - it stinks to fail OHS because you can't the weight off your neck haha.
