Well the year is almost finished and many people made commitments to accomplish goals before the year was over.

For the original thread:
http://www.crossfit.com/discus/messages/3499/6832.html

For the half year update:
http://www.crossfit.com/discus/messages/3499/11245.html

My resolutions:

15 Bodyweight OHS - not even close. Gave up working on this in lieu of the Rutman mile and Eugene's pull up challenge. It is still on my list though.

Eat better (i.e. Zone worthy). - COMPLETE. Got my zone diet dialed in pretty good. I could measure my food more often, so that part may carry over to next year.

40 pull ups kipping - HA! just did 53 for Eugene.

2 minute L sit (at 30 seconds now). - Haven't touched this one in months. I am probably still around 30 seconds, but I wouldn't know until I tried. I did just get the materials for my Parallelettes.

Where do you stand now?

Hmm, not much of an indicator...but I had to go out and buy all new pants because I've gone from a 34 (with gun IWB) to a 32 (sometimes 31, both with gun IWB). So...I think my waist is getting smaller...

I am shooting for a 3 block daily zone diet...

kipping pullups are sucking right now because I'm afraid my pull up bar will break

I puked after doing Murph yesterday...so that's good right?

I gotta work on better times and weights all around, push mice-elf harder.

Ted

-ive added 145 pounds to my DL since the half way mark but im still 55ish pounds short of 2xBWT.

-im 10 pounds short of a BWT C&J.

-kind of forgot the whole OHS thing...i think im over 155 @ BWT 205ish.

-i can do lots of muscleups on the rings and some on the bar.

-im getting better at running but not all that close to those goals...ironically, i could probably do the 10 miles comfortably but not the 9:00 1.5mi nor the 20:00 5k. huh.

I started with none, and I still have most of them. Forget the body weight 15-rep OH Squat for a while.

I did get a muscleup in April, and double by June, 3 in a row stills eludes me...mark me down for 4 consecutive MU by 12/31. I did also acheive a 400-lb deadlift while lowering body weight down to 205 from 220 during the year, so mark me for a 410 DL by year's end (or 2X Bodyweight, whatever it is at the time).

I would have liked to hve reached 50 consecutive pullups by Eugenes B'day, I got to 41 a five second rest and 9 more on 11/27/05, I resolve to continue til I get 50, It's hard to push the pullup training with a chronic tendonitus elbow though.

I got my 15 rep bodyweight OHS, got my 50 pullup set, learned to do the O-lifts properly, and got over the 2x bodyweight deadlift.

However, I did not get nearly the deadlift max that I wanted, and I failed at the Rutman mile. Bummer.

Rope climb: got it in February.
5-second unsupported handstand: sort of got it in Sept. I have to be against the wall, but I can back off from the wall and hold it 5 seconds.
Muscle-up: Not got it. Oh, well. One for 2006.

Also wanted to jump from floor to top of pommelhorse: got it.

I greatly improved in Pull ups, dips, rope climbs but lost momentum in weights and pushups because of not doing WOD more than 2 days a week for the last 4 months.

I did get personal bests in Fran and Helen using weights modified down to 65 and 35 respectively but with REAL pull ups. Did 100 pullups in 17 minutes, 100 burpees in the same amount of time recently.

Getting a new start this month though and I'm gonna get that muscle up and a HSPU sooner or later. Hand stands and ring dips are on my hit list first, though.

I think we need a more regular check up on our resolutions.

Like once a month we resurrect the 2006 goal thread.
