In Search of Chico, CA CrossFitters

My name is Brian and finally got involved with a crossfit affiliate in Alaska over the summer after doing years of the '3 sets of ten bicepts' workouts. I am now 100% sold on crossfit and can't wait to further my knowledge and ability. I left to study abroad after the summer for a semester, where I did not keep up my crossfit lifestyle; partly my fault, partly lack of access. Anyway, I will return to Chico State in late January and can't wait to start crossfitting again. I am looking for people who are as enthusiastic as me to crossfit. I am aware of crossfit NorCal, but don't know if I will be able to afford the $150/month membership yet. I look forward to meeting any and all fellow crossfitters in the 530.

I am in the same boat as you. I have been doing Crossfit since June while I was stationed in Rota, Spain. I will be attending Chico State this January, but I am unsure if I am willing to pay the membership fee. Let me know if you have found any alternatives, thanks.

Re: In Search of Chico, CA CrossFitters

Sorry to resurrect a dead thread, but I'm also in the same boat. I definitely can't afford $100 a month and was wondering if there were any decently priced options hereabouts? Also, I'm up for jogging/running/etc through bidwell. If ya'll are still paying attention to this post, I'm in need of some fitness partners!

www.norcalsc.com

fifty/fifty that the above link is starred out. it's more expensive than the $100 mentioned above, but it's definitely a really good gym and worth it in my opinion.

Norcal Strength and Conditioning is not a CF affiliate, but trains along the some of the same philosophies.

Level 10 Crossfit in Oroville is about a 30min drive south depending on where in Chico you are.

Re: In Search of Chico, CA CrossFitters

This is an old thread but anyone looking for a CrossFit gym in Chico can now go to CrossFit Chico (aka Adrenaline X Strength & Conditioning) located at the Chico Racquet Club & Resort, 1629 Manzanita Ave. 530-520-3793. We have been training there for a year and just became an affiliate. http://www.crossfitchicoca.com
