I've searched the boards and found a few posts about this but I can't seem to get my avatar to change. I have the new image displaying in my profile, but not in my new posts.

Any ideas?

There was some bug/issue with it for a while - I know I tried to change mine in the past and it didn't want to change, either. Not sure what the status on that situation is.

Uh, Bill...your avatar has been changed for a couple of days now. ???

Roger is right that in general, it is unlikely to change unless the moon is full and the chicken bones aligned in a fortunate pattern, but I'm curious as to the timing of your post.

FWIW, I changed mine about 4 months ago. Hopefully the chicken bones will align soon. If not, no big deal. I post this in the hope there might be some chicken bone aligners around.

Mine has not changed though I updated it some time ago. John Seiler's has changed recently. I plan to follow up with him to see what happened.

Chris,

Instead of replacing the image, try deleting your existing avatar and update/save the changes, wait a little bit, then load your new one. I read somewhere on the board that doing so worked for others. I might have been what did it for me.

At first, my new posts still displayed my old Avatar, but the next day the new image displayed correctly. Like I said earlier, it's magic!
